Who are the Road Rangers?
The Road Rangers are a fleet of trucks that patrol Florida’s highways with one mission: helping stranded motorists.
Started in 2000 as a private-public partnership between the state and contracted companies, the Road Rangers have provided nearly four million service stops since being founded. Last year alone, the Road Rangers assisted drivers more than 393,000 times.
Our law firm began sponsoring this great program in Northeast Florida in 2011 as a way to give back to the community.
And the service provided by the Road Rangers is completely free.
JAXLEGAL.COM Road Ranger trucks patrol popular, congested Northeast Florida roads looking for stranded motorists. This isn’t just a matter of courtesy to stranded drivers, it’s also about safety.
When cars are stranded in the middle of the road, everyone suffers. Traffic slows to a crawl. The stopped cars present a significant safety hazard.
The JAXLEGAL.COM Road Rangers move cars out of the travel lanes and into safer areas. Then, Road Ranger drivers can complete some basic repairs and help with minor issues.
For example, the Road Rangers are:
- Equipped with basic repair tools
- Equipped with radiator water
- Able to jump start your car should it be required
- Ready to provide a two-ton jack for drivers with flat tires
- Able to provide enough fuel to get the vehicle to a fuel pump
You’ll see “JAXLEGAL.COM” on the back tailgate of the Road Ranger truck coming to assist you.
We’ve always worked to help the people of Jacksonville. Now, we’re coming to you…and we’re bringing help.
If you live in the Jacksonville, Florida area and you want to speak with an experienced auto accident attorney, please contact Hardesty, Tyde, Green & Ashton.
Questions about the JAXLEGAL.COM Road Rangers?
What to Look For
JAXLEGAL.COM Road Ranger vehicles are all white pick up trucks that have a fold down lighted sign in the back and a tailgate that is boldly marked “JAXLEGAL.COM Road Rangers”. All drivers wear uniforms and ask motorists to fill out comment cards after helping.
Because the Road Ranger fleet is extensive and patrols most major thoroughfares, you can expect to see a truck between 15 and 30 minutes after being stranded and often much sooner. If you have a cell phone you can dial *FHP to reach the Road Rangers dispatch center.
